Certified NPO Corporation Commemorative Donation Campaign (Goal: 2.5 million yen)
Having met strict standards, JII obtained certification as a "Certified NPO Corporation" in June.
It is thanks to the support and participation of everyone who has been involved in our activities so far. We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
As a result, donations to JII become eligible for tax benefits such as donation deductions (allowing you to reduce your tax burden while contributing to society).
It has already been five years since we started the Otonari-san Family Friend Program (OFP), where foreigners and Japanese pair up to deepen their interaction, from scratch.
The total number of applicants, both foreigners and Japanese, has exceeded 1,700, and the circle of activities is steadily expanding.
Last year, we achieved "one pair formed every week," and this year that pace has increased even further.
The systems and social conditions surrounding foreign residents living in Japan are now undergoing major changes, and anxiety is spreading among the foreign residents.
Precisely because of this situation, we want to continue serving as a bridge that creates new opportunities for foreign residents and Japanese people to meet and build relationships of trust.
We want to create a peaceful and vibrant community where we know, learn from, and support each other.
Even though we have become a certified NPO, the necessary funds are not automatically secured.
As the number of participants increases and the scope of other activities expands, the issue of securing continuous funding to support operations not keeping pace with growth has remained unresolved for a long time.
With personnel costs of fewer than two full-time employees, six administrative staff members handle a wide range of tasks.
Activity funds are covered 10% by registration fees and membership fees from program participants, 50% by grants, and the remaining 40% must be covered by donations in order to continue our activities.
We continue to face a situation where we cannot even foresee our cash flow three months ahead.
The target amount of 2.5 million yen is the funding needed to continue this year’s activities.
If you agree with our activities and our vision, please support us.
